ETOS at 77th Annual ISE Meeting: Prof. Dr. Siegfried R. Waldvogel Awarded with ISE Fellow Medal
Our cluster was represented at the 77th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) in Sydney with several contributions.
Our spokesperson Prof. Dr. Siegfried R. Waldvogel gave two talks: “Electrifying Chemical Production of Fine Chemicals” and “Electrochemical Synthesis of N-Oxy-Heterocycles.” He also delivered a tutorial lecture on “Electro-organic Synthesis” together with Dr. Darryl Nater, group leader at MPI CEC. In addition, our spokesperson Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrike Krewer presented on “Micro- and Macrokinetics in Electroorganic Synthesis.”
Two projects from the first ETOS phase were also showcased: Dr. Darryl F. Nater (MPI CEC) reported on the results of the HAVANA Projekts project in his presentation on “Advances in Halo-mediated Electrosynthesis.” Philipp Beeskow (KIT) spoke about “Designing Sustainable Electrocatalysis: Cost- and Carbon-Informed Decisions; CO₂ Reduction and HCH Case Studies” presenting findings from Balanced Scorecard.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Siegfried R. Waldvogel was awarded the ISE Fellow 2026 medal. This prestigious honor, bestowed annually by the ISE, recognizes scientists who have made a significant impact on the field through outstanding achievements.
