On September 22, 2023, the first joint symposium of all ETOS participants took place at KIT. More than 80 guests from research and industry attended the meeting, including the members of the steering committee and the international scientific advisory board of ETOS.
The welcoming address was given by Prof. Dr. Oliver Kraft (Vice President for Research at KIT), Prof. Dr. Stefan Müller-Stach (Vice President for Research and Young Scientists at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz), Dr. Anastasia Vogel (BMBF), Dr. Dieter Labruier and Nathalie Wiaterek (Projektträger Jülich). The cluster spokespersons, Prof. Dr. Sigfried R. Waldvogel and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrike Krewer, then gave an overview of ETOS.
The day was characterized by exciting presentations about the individual projects and lively discussions, finding new synergies and making new contacts. The atmosphere was fantastic and the whole team was highly motivated to develop ideas and technologies around sustainable electroorganic synthesis and to establish it as a key technology in Germany.
We are very much looking forward to the multifaceted collaboration with our partners from research and industry and would like to thank all participants who contributed to this great day.
